Mixue is a global Ice cream and Tea brand. It was started by Mr. Zhang Hongchao in 1997. He was a college student at Henan University of Economics and Law, when he launched MIXUE from a small street stall. At that time he started selling shaved ice cream and drinks by getting a loan from his grandmother. but in the first few attempts, he didn’t succeed.
However, in 2003, he opened a Mixue store near a school, which quickly became popular among students. This success allowed him to expand, and by 2007, Mixue began franchising across China. In 2018, Mixue opened its first international store in Vietnam, and by 2020, it had expanded to other Southeast Asian countries like Indonesia. Mixue’s franchising model gave a boost to Mixue growth globally.
Today, Mixue has more than 33,000 stores in China and other countries, including Malaysia, Thailand, and even Australia.
